The artifact is in the room with the spikes. In order to get it, you must first use the grapple on that ring that holds the block of stones.
When the way is clear, you can go right up, pull the lever and get to the enclosure.
In order to get it, go to the right side instead of jumping to the left on the second row of columns.
And you'll now have the artifact #1.
