Tomb Raider Anniversary - Visual Walkthrough (part 5)
Time to head to Hephaestus' temple.
It's quite easy to get to this one, you just need to look for the ledges to the left.
The entrance mechanism seems to be broken, so make sure you don't sit in front of the door when you flip the switch (or don't flip it at all, you don't need it).
Look for the ledges on the left and use them to get in.
And now get ready for another part or awesome design.
When you're done drooling at the great effects (now you understand why you really need that $300 graphic card?), it's time to focus on the quest. The electric ball sends an electric arc to the raised platforms, so make sure you sit on a lower one all the time.
Notice 4 of those platforms have some pressure pads, the idea is to sit on each and then the grates to the nearby room will open.
The idea here is to find the 3 statues and position them in the holes with the heads in the direction marked.
A statue is on the right side, but you still need to find the last 2. Notice there is a block of stone which you can move on the left. Push that to the pad near it and a giant hammer will crush it and reveal another statue hidden inside.
Move it to one of the places where it belongs.
In order to get the last one, you need to do a little trick. First, sit yourself on the pad and move quickly so you don't get killed. When the hammer comes down, jump, grab the ledge, then quickly jump on top of the hammer. Quickly jump to the right side. Additionally you can jump on the left side where there is an artifact. However, you will still need to get on the right side for the last statue.
Use the thin poles to swing across to the middle platform and then to the one on the other side of the room. Move the block of stone so it drops down and break. Inside there is the third statue.
Make sure all 3 statues are in position (you'll see a short cutscene when they are), then go sit on the hammer pad again (and move quickly so it doesn't crush you).
The grates to the key will open.
And tada, now you have the Key of Hephaestus!
